This is a family run farm in the attractive Marotiri district 30 minutes from Taupo near Tihoi. We operate a self contained system which includes our dairy herd as well as our replacement stock. We milk 650 cows once a day (OAD) in a quiet, calm and relaxed environment, in which cow comfort and welfare is paramount. We operate a 40 aside herringbone shed with Protrack, cup removers and in-shed feed system. Duties & Responsibilities include: Milking, Feed Management, Animal Health, Mating, Plant & Machinery Maintenance, Tractor Work, Irrigation/Effluent, Stock Work, Calf Rearing, Record Keeping, Farm Maintenance, Health & Safety. We are Sharemilkers looking for a farm assistant to join our team of 3. We milk 550 spring-calving cows on a farm situated in Reporoa. Milking is done through a 50 a-side herringbone shed and has an in-shed feed system. Our ideal candidate doesn't need farming experience but a great attitude and a willingness to learn. You will be able to work well in a team and be punctual, reliable and honest. There will also be an opportunity for you to participate in further training as part of the role.
