We are looking for a Assistant manager who can confidently run one of the 2 dairy sheds of the farm. The farm is located 15 minutes from gore and 5 minutes from Riversdale. The farm has 430ha all flat and has 2 sheds, A 50 and 54 bale rotary both are ACR and have PROTRACT drafting gate. Each shed will have 1 2IC, 1 herd manager and 1 assistant herd manager( reliever). the farm will calved 1200 cows this season and will get split evenly on both sheds after calving. Assistant Farm Manager wanted to help run the daily operation of a 750 cow farm near Balfour, Southland. 310 hectare effective. A 60 bail rotary dairy shed for milking with in-shed feeding, auto drafting, auto cup remover with cow collar to aid with health monitoring and mating.  To be considered for the role you must have a strong background on all aspect of day to day running of the operation and a solid work ethics. You will be expected to lead a team of junior staff, monitor pasture and animal health with the basic farm and machinery maintenance and know how.  In return a competitive renumeration package with a 3 bedroom house with heat pump, good working gear and machinery is on offer.
