Dairy Farm Assistant:  We are looking for a very keen, motivated person to assist us Milking 500 cows through 36 Bail Rotary Shed. We would prefer the person to have at least one years Dairy Farming experience in NZ. So able to milk cows unsupervised, have some experience with animal health & handling stock. Able to ride quad & two  wheel motor bike in a sound & safe manner. Comfortable 2 Bedroom house available. May need to share with backpacker during busy periods of season. We are approx. 20 mins to Lake Brunner, 50 mins to both Hokitika & Greymouth 

We have a job available for an Assistant Farm Manager  with at least 2+ years' experience on a 1150-cow farm in the Whataroa area, milking through a 70 Bail Rotary shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking Shed Management Animal Husbandry and Production Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment Pasture and fodder Management Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management Cattle transportation Contractor Organisation and Management Staff Management   and other general farm duties.
