Due to our current worker moving on we are looking a farm assistant to join our team. We run a family farm, located 15 minutes from Feilding. We run a split calving system peak milking 450 cows through an 32AS herringbone with ACRs. All animals are wintered on our nearby blocks of land. You will be working as part of a team so late starts are part of your roster. We are looking for someone that is honest, reliable and enthusiastic to join our team. Experience is preferred but if you are willing to learn are are happy to have a chat to you. You will need to be living, and entitled to work in NZ to apply for this job. A NZ drivers licence is a must.

Machine operator  such as tractors, feed out equipment, fencing gear.  Relief milk when required. Carry on maintenance etc. Must be drug and Vape/ smoke free. No pets.

OB Group has four Dairy farms, three at Sandtoft Bulls where these roles will be based, just 15 minutes from Marton in the Rangitikei region. Each Farm milks between 800-1000 Friesian X cows at peak through 60 bail Rotary sheds and has 4 staff. Heated with wood fire, fully furnished, $150 per week. A well presented farm, mainly flat contour with some grazable sidelines - 60 bale rotary cowshed, ACRs, protrak, Halter. An ability to drive 2 wheelers, 4 wheelers, side by side and tractors necessary.  Spring calving. Successful applicants needs to be confident with all areas of day to day operations on the farm, be confident to ask questions if unsure, be reliable and drug free. Some formal farming studies and or experience on NZ farms preferrable. Experience with Halter or technologies a bonus.  Due to the remote area of the farm, a car license is necessary.

We are looking to fill 3 dairy farm assistant roles on our farm with immediate job starting.  Job includes basic farm work such as milking cows, cleaning sheds and equipment, setup break fences, livestock movement, weed control, ride 2 and 4 wheeler and any other day to day duties required by the Farm Manager. No experience needed, you must be reliable, punctual and honest attitude. Training will be provided on farm. You must be drug, smoke free. 40- 50 working hours per week with $24 to $30 an hour, depending on your capabilities. On farm shared accommodation available at an agreed cost or market rate.
