We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to work on a 500-cow farm in the Whataroa area, milking through a 25 AS Herringbone shed with halters. Experience is preferred but not required for this role.  You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary; Roster will be 11 days on, 3 days off for the rest of the year.
