We are looking for a relief milker for the rest of the season on our farm located just 5mins out of Temuka Experience be essential but not necessary. Its a 40 ashb shed milking 680 cows.

Dairy Farm Assistant position available for the upcoming season located in the Hinds area. 243 Ha milking 935 cows 54 rotary shed with ACR's We are a grass based system so good knowledge of grass and grazing is needed Looking for someone who is eager to grow and progress in the industry with our team Duties include but not limited to; milking and plant wash, calf rearing, giving and recording animal health treatments, tractor driving and feeding out, shifting irrigation (K-lines and sprinklers), break fences, weed spraying and other general duties. Applicant preferably someone who has done 2yrs of dairy farming and is motivated to learn, and feed cows.  Farm details: The dairy platform is approx.420ha effective, located 13km/13mins from the township of Waimate. Current Peak milk 940-980 cows through 54 bale rotary, with halter collars, with slight increase likely and in-shed feeding & pro-track like gate Irrigation: dryland farm. Cows will be milked twice daily for majority of season– 4/4.30am & 2pm cups on.  Typical breaks post calving of 8.30-9.30am, 11.30-2pm. Dairy Farm Assistant.  Start date 1 October.  Permanent or Fixed Term (however must commit through for at least 3 months) 600 Friesian herd/ 46 aside Herringbone Shed. 100% irrigated.
