Due to a change in circumstances we are looking for 2x team members from the beginning of September to join our team full time. We milk 750 cows through a modern 54 bail rotary that is centrally located. Our roster is 6 days on 1 day off over calving with the remaining season 6 days on 2 days off. Accommodation available is: 1x large 4 bedroom house with a heatpump & gas hot water 1x small 2 bedroom cottage with a heatpump We are not accredited employers so you must have the legal right to work in NZ. Experience is required.

Top 400 cows twice a day, the rest once a day morning only, everything once a day March to end of May. We have a system that allows for not getting cows in, they walk themselves to milking while the coffees being drunk. Calves are grazed off farm from January till they return in May the following year as in calf. All ground work is done in house so plenty of tractor work available. We are looking for a permanent staff member to jump aboard our team once our Scottsman's visa has run out in November. Preferably chasing a character that knows how to jump into battle when the busy time is on. Seeking a experienced, honest and reliable Relief Milker, that has excellent stock skills and management.   You must pass criminal and drug checks and be physically fit to be considered for the role. You must also have a full clean driving license and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Relief Milker you are expected to work alongside the Farm Manager and other staff in: - milk harvesting - maintaining the cleanliness of the cow shed - operating and maintenance of effluent system - monitoring pasture, crop, and supplement management - monitoring stock feed - diagnosing animal ailments and conducting treatments - assisting in the erection and maintenance of fence.
