We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant that would like to progress in the role long term.
575 cows
45-a-side herringbone shed
2-person shed with protrac drafting and in-shed feeders
Once-a-day milking for one herd, Twice-a-day herd transitioning to OAD December
Flat, rolling and steep farm terrain.
System 2 farm with summer & winter cropping
Beef block rearing 120 cattle
1 or 4 Bedroom house depending on family situation
Pay negotiable
Minimum of 2 years’ dairy farming experience
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Confident operating quad bikes and tractors
Tractor work includes feeding out in paddocks, boom spraying and topping
Reliable, proactive and able to prioritise work
New Zealand citizen or resident, currently living in NZ
