You will be expected to lead a team of junior staff, monitor pasture and animal health with the basic farm and machinery maintenance and know how.  In return a competitive renumeration package with a 3 bedroom house with heat pump, good working gear and machinery is on offer.

Our farm is located in Northern Southland - milking 1000 cows through a 50 bail rotary with Afimilk collars, Protrack drafting and automatic cup removers. You will be working with the sharemilkers and other staff members. Key duties will be milking, ensuring milk quality and shed hygiene is maintained to a high standard and assisting with feeding of stock as advised by sharemilker. You must be able to assist with all calving and mating requirements, be able to record information accurately and have good knowledge of animal health and welfare. You must be able to communicate effectively within a team, comply with all health and safety policies and take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy dairy platform. You must also be able to drive a tractor and be confident using implements.  There is a warm 3 bedroom house with a fire available.  Relief work will be available for a partner also....
