We are looking for an experienced 2IC to join us for the remainder of the 2026/2027 season.
Our farm is located in Northern Southland - milking 1000 cows through a 50 bail rotary with Afimilk collars, Protrack drafting and automatic cup removers. You will be working with the sharemilkers and other staff members.
Key duties will be milking, ensuring milk quality and shed hygiene is maintained to a high standard and assisting with feeding of stock as advised by sharemilker. You must be able to assist with all calving and mating requirements, be able to record information accurately and have good knowledge of animal health and welfare. You must be able to communicate effectively within a team, comply with all health and safety policies and take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy dairy platform. You must also be able to drive a tractor and be confident using implements.
There is a warm 3 bedroom house with a fire available. Relief work will be available for a partner also.
