Looking for a switched on Assistant Manager (2IC) near Marton!
We are looking for a switched-on individual who is eager to learn and grow in the farming industry. We have 220 cows on 90 Ha going through a 20 ASHB cowshed with inshed feeding. This is a stunning farm with pockets of native bush and beautiful views just outside Marton.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the farm, liaising with the contract milker, and will require the following skills/attributes:
l Understanding of all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a dairy farm
l The ability to milk sole charge
l Being confident in driving a tractor
l Excellent communication skills
l Excellent animal husbandry skills
l Reliable and trustworthy, with a great work ethic
l Ability to work independently and as part of a team
l The ability to work in NZ
l A keen attitude to learn and grow
