Assistant Farm Manager (Morrinsville) 3482FA

We are seeking a motivated and reliable farm worker to step into an Assistant Farm Manager role. Applicants must have at least 2 years of farming experience. The business operates 8 farms in the Morrinsville area, and this role offers the opportunity to work across different farms as needed.

You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including:

• Milking
• Shed Management
• Animal Husbandry and Production
• Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment
• Pasture and fodder Management
• Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery
• Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements
• Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management
• Cattle transportation
• Contractor Organisation and Management
• Staff Management
• and other general farm duties.

Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, should you work beyond the agreed maximum hours in a fortnightly pay period, you will be paid at the agreed overtime rate for each additional hour worked.

The schedule may vary; Roster will be 12 days on, 2 days off. 

Wage is between $33.56 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Candidates must have previous farming experience and are required to provide good related references.
