We are on the lookout for a farm assistant to join our team.
Due to 1 staff member moving away, we are looking for someone with at least 6 months dairy farm experience. Start date will be as soon as possible.
We milk 1000 cows through a 50 bail rotary with automatic cup removers, drafting and teat spray.
Key tasks:

Bringing cows in for milking, milking and teat spraying.

Cleaning the milking shed, yards and equipment.

Feeding stock, setting up break fences and checking water supplies.

Monitoring animal health, reporting concerns and assisting with treatment as directed.

Helping with calving, calf rearing and mating as required.

Assisting with effluent management.

Carrying out general farm maintenance, including fencing and basic equipment care
The farm is located in Ryal Bush, Southland. 10 minutes from Winton and Invercargill.
Accommodation is available, 2 bedroom warm house with heat pump .
Must have a valid working visa if applying due to lack of time and be in NZ already or have ready all the necessary requirements to apply for one.
