DAIRY FARM POSITION – 600 COWS | 170HA
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our team on a well-maintained 600-cow, 170ha dairy farm.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not an Accredited Employer, so applicants must already be based in New Zealand and have the legal right to work in NZ. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor overseas applicants.
We are accepting applications across a range of experience levels — from someone with 2+ years’ dairy farming experience through to an experienced 2IC or Farm Manager. The position and level of responsibility can be tailored to suit the right person.
About the farm: • 600 cows
• 170ha
• Well-maintained farm, machinery and facilities
• 52-bail rotary shed
• ACRs and auto wash, along with good shed automation
• Good systems in place to make the day-to-day operation run efficiently
About you: We’d preferably like someone with solid dairy experience who can think on their feet, use their initiative and get on with the job without needing to be constantly supervised.
You’ll need to be confident around stock, take pride in your work and be capable of safely riding both 2-wheel and 4-wheel farm bikes.
We’re also happy to hear from people with around 2+ years’ experience who are keen to step up, learn and progress into more responsibility.
For the right experienced applicant, we are open to discussing a management-level role.
Remuneration and responsibilities will be based on experience and ability.
