🐄 Milk for Rent Position Available – New Zealand We're looking for a reliable and motivated person or couple for a Milk for Rent position. The position includes: • 3-bedroom house • 22 ASHB dairy with in-shed feeding • Milking approximately 270 cows • Halter system being installed, operational from August This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a well-set-up dairy operation. We lease two farms in Southland, the larger being located at Redan where most of the stock work is required and another in Winton as well as the family farm in Woodlands that we don’t handle the day to day operations of but work in closely with and where most of the engineering related tasks are carried out. We like to do most farm related tasks in house and to a high standard avoiding out sourcing work where possible. This includes servicing and maintenance of farm machinery. Due to an increased workload we are looking for a skilled individual to step in for some regular part time work so that we can continue to farm at a high standard. Greig Farming Ltd is made up of two farming operations each milking 1250 cows, along with a runoff block that is situated between the two dairy units. The farm has implemented good systems, sound infrastructure and uses modern machinery. The farms are located 8 minutes north of Foxton and 20 minutes Southwest of Palmerston North. Greig Farming is looking for a jack of all trades to be part of our dry stock runoff team (team of 3) and this role is crucial in assisting our dairy operations. This person needs to have great stockmanship and strong understanding of machinery. There is weekend work required.
