Drive-in milker/farm assistant who can milk as part of a 2-person team in the morning and sole-charge the TAD herd in the afternoon through a 23-aside herringbone with cup removers. Additional tasks as required like bringing in cows & setting up fences, potentially extra hours available for fencing, tree felling/wood cutting, weed control etc. This role would also be suitable for an ambitious trainee with a desire and passion to develop the skills necessary for a career in dairy farming. Ota Dairies, located 5 minutes out of Edendale, is looking for a drive in casual relief milker to help out on the farm for the rest of the season. The days will depend on the roster and we are flexible on what that looks likes, working hours are around 2-3 at a time. Hourly rate of $27 - $35 including holiday pay depending on experience. This is a drive in position so reimbursement for fuel is available.

We are looking for a relief milker until the end of the season to cover a staff member on medical leave. We are currently milking 345 cows on a 10 in 7 milking system. Milking twice a day on Mon, Wed, Fri and Once a day on Tue, Thurs, Sat and Sun). We don't have accommodation available, but the farm is only situated 5 minutes from Hawera. We have a position for a Permanent Part Time  Calf Rearer and Relief Milker to assist owners. We guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight. Duties would be to relief milk, assist with calf rearing in the spring and stock work over the dry period. Other day time work by arrangement. Ideally two days a week with flexibility to do more.  Experience, a calm nature and love for animals is required.
