We are looking for an experienced farm worker (12+ months) for an Assistant Manager (2IC) role at a 400 and 570 cow farm in the Waitaki Bridge area. The farm is located just 15 minutes from Oamaru, milking through a 40 and 44 Aside Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of responsibilities including the day-to-day management support including: - Milking - Shed Management - Animal Husbandry and Production - Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment - Pasture and fodder Management - Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery - Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements - Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management - Cattle transportation - Contractor Organisation and Management - Staff Management - and other general farm duties.
