We need Herd Managers to join our team for the 2026/2027 season. As a Herd Manager, you must have a natural love for animals and all agriculture.  This is a full-time permanent role that requires you to work a minimum of 34 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week at $30.00/hour. You must be physically fit, with clean criminal and drug checks to be considered for the role. A minimum of 2 years herd manager experience is required for this role. No pets are allowed in the shared accommodation. No smoking/vaping allowed in the shared accommodation and sheds.

We are searching for someone who is wanting to progress in the dairy industry, and shift into management in the next 12 months. We are on the Hunt for 2 staff members a 2ic and a herd manager on our farm 10 minutes to whangarei 15 minutes to Ngungaru. Short Term Role We would like to employ a Calf Rearer this July. We calve 700 cows, and the role would start mid July through to September/October.  The hours of work will be about 7 hours/day at our peak time, and drop off to about 4hours/day in late August/September.  We are flexible with how many days a week you work, however would expect at least 5 days per week. Our farm is located 8km from Kamo.

Due to a new farm purchase, we are on the hunt for two Herd managers to work alongside our manager running a year round milking operation. We milk 300 cows through the winter and then calve an additional 300 cows in the spring with the intention to milk approximately 550 through the peak. Cows milked twice a day through a 32 a side herringbone with in shed feeding. This job will include all aspects of the standard dairynz herd managers job description, including but not limited to; milking cows, feeding calves, feeding out, farm maintenance and weed control. Applicants must have 1 year full time experience, be confident driving 2 wheel motorbikes and tractors, and be happy to undergo pre and during employment drug testing, no criminal record and have a full licence.
