Due to internal promotions, we are on the hunt for two herd managers to work alongside our manager and other staff member running a split calving, once a day milking operation. We milk 600 cows through the winter and then calve an additional 400 cows in the spring with the intention to milk approximately 950 through the peak. Cows milked once a day through a 48 a side herringbone. This job will include all aspects of the standard dairynz herd managers job description, including but not limited to; milking cows, feeding calves, feeding out, farm maintenance and weed control.
Applicants must have 1 year full time experience, be confident driving 2 wheel motorbikes and tractors, and be happy to undergo pre and during employment drug testing, no criminal record and have a full licence. We are Accredited employers.
Accommodation is a 3 bedroom house, shared with one other staff member.
