We are seeking a team member to help with day to day runnings - milking 14 bale herringbone (soon to be moving into a new 40 bale rotary- waiting for sign off) setting breaks, bringing in cows and calves and helping with calf rearing. You will be joining a supportive team environment consisting of a herd manager along side another farm assistant, on a roster system.  Must be capable of milking on your own if necessary.   Applicant MUST be residing in and eligible to work in New Zealand.

We have positions available for two (2) Dairy Farm Assistants on a 330-cow farm in the Hāwera area, milking through a 40 Rotary Bale shed. Previous experience is preferred but not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55.
