HALTER from February 2027. Key Responsibilities: Milking and shed hygiene Calving, mating, and general stock work Daily farm maintenance tasks What We’re Looking For: A   strong work ethic   and genuine passion for dairy farming Team player with a   positive, can-do attitude Experience in dairying preferred but not essential for motivated candidates Reliability, honesty, and a willingness to learn Restricted or full driver’s license preferred Must pass a pre employment drug test.

We not accredited employers only nz citizens or residents can apply!  Due to unforseen cirucmstances we are currently looking for the right person to join our team milking 400 cows through a 32 ASHB  Experience is preffered but not essential Salary dependent on Experience with added benefits of meat and bonuses The roster is 5 on 2 off but can be tailored to suit the right person for the job. We offer a 3 bedroom house on farm, with a log burner, fully fenced section and pets allowed by negotiation. School bus at the gate and local town of hokitika is 15 minutes drive. About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm assistant to join our 509ha dairy farm in Franz Josef, milking 800 cows through a 60 bale rotary. You’ll work closely with the farm manager and a team (4  full-time staff + a calf rearer), with a roster of 11 days on, 3 days off. Key Responsibilities: Assist with milking, animal health, and general farm management. Treat sick/infected animals and maintain high animal welfare standards. Help maintain farm gear and equipment.
