Apatu Farms is a family-owned agribusiness. Our operations are diverse, encompassing pipfruit, viticulture, vegetable cropping, export onions, transport/logistic and dairy farming. Our Plantation Dairy site is based in Ongaonga, Hawke’s Bay. We run 1,800 cows at peak, milk through a 60-bale rotary, and operate a twice-year calving system alongside year-round milking — so we’re a busy farm! To keep everything running smoothly, we have a fantastic team of 15 people on site, supported by the wider Apatu Farms group. The opportunity: We’re looking for an Assistant Calf Rearer to join our Apatu Farms – Plantation Dairy team for the upcoming calf rearing season. This is a casual position, as we continue to grow and expect a higher number of calves this season.
