Due to unforeseen family circumstances with our existing manager who needs to leave asap, we are looking for a herd manager for our dairy farm near Waverley.  The shed is 36 aside herringbone shed with automatic cup removers and in-shed feed system. Our operation includes 2 dairy farms and a runoff block in-between them.  We run it as one, with everyone helping each other out wherever required.  The successful applicant will be managing the herd on this farm, while working with the manager on our other dairy farm, particularly throughout calvings (we calve Autumn and Spring) - all calves born are reared.  The applicant will also possess the ability to work alone, unsupervised as required, and have sound knowledge of Minda, Fonterra Dairy Diary App, and AfiMilk collars, as well as other key skills of a herd manager.
