Duties include but not limited to Milking: Assists with efficent and hygienic milking routine Animals: Assists in safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Environment: Assists with nutrients, effluent and water management People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture Machinery Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains plant and farm vehicles. Pay rate is $27 - $29 per hour. Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed. Applicants must have a criminal free record. We require a 2IC to assist with the day to day running of our 900 cow dairy farm 12 minutes out of Bulls Manawatu. We have a great team and we are looking for the right person who will fit in as team culture is really important to us. The successful applicant must be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated and positive. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skill, a minimum of 3 years dairy farming experience, must be confident in the dairy shed, with operating machinery and have basic pasture management skills.  Qualifications would be an advantage but full training will be provided. Duties and responsibilities include: milking, animal health, feeding out, calving, mating and general farm maintenance.  The applicants must be willing to undergo a drug test.
