We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working person to join our team. Our business specialises in clearing and removing animal bedding from sheds, so this is a hands-on role involving machinery operation and physical work. We’re looking for someone who: ● Can preferably operate a tractor / skid steer and other machinery ● Is physically fit and comfortable with manual labour ● Has a strong understanding of health and safety and can follow safe work procedures ● Is reliable, practical and has a good work ethic ● Can work well as part of a team ● Holds a current driver licence ● Can pass a pre-employment drug test Experience with farming, machinery or similar physical work would be an advantage, but reliability, safety and a willingness to get stuck in are most important. The Assistant Farm Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the farm which is a milking platform with young stock grazed off after weaning. General responsibility for maintaining stock and farm records.  This is an easy contour farm with 28 aside herringbone shed, in shed feeding. Aiming to calve about 150 cows in the spring with 80-100 autumn calving for the winter. The property is close to Tokoroa with several school choices. Accommodation tidy four bedroom house. No dogs.  We do pre-employment drug testing. The Farm Manager must have more than 3 years NZ experience and have a consistent work history in dairying. They also need to demonstrate good communication and practical dairy farming skills. We encourage involvement in our local community.

We require a Farm Manager for our farm 5km from Morrinsville. The farm is 115ha effective, flat to rolling with 10% steeper country. The farm is a system 3 with Maize grown on farm, and in shed meal feeders.  The shed is a 36 bale rotary with cup removers, centrally located, one person can milk.  We are looking for an experienced Farm Manager with excellent pasture management skills, animal health and self/time management skills as the owner lives off farm.
