We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Assistant to join our dairy farming operation. This role involves assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the farm, including milking, animal health, feeding, pasture management, fencing, calf rearing, and general farm maintenance. The successful applicant will work closely with the Farm Manager and wider team to ensure high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, farm presentation, and health and safety are maintained. Previous dairy farming experience is advantageous; however, applicants with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn will also be considered

We have three Dairy Farm Assistant positions available on a 1000-cow farm in the Ranfurly area. The farm is located approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes from Dunedin and 2 hours and 40 minutes from Queenstown, milking through a 50 Bail Rotary shed. Experience is preferred but not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking twice a day - shifting cows and feeding  - fencing, weed control - calving, calf rearing - shed cleaning and setup - identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Setting fences - and other general farm duties.
