This is a fulltime position to commence 1 June 2026. The successful applicant will work with ourselves, farm owner/operator, the 2IC and one other staff member, they will take responsibility for assigned aspects of dairy shed hygiene/cleanliness; animal health; and milking.  The position involves, and is not limited to, feeding pasture/supplements, effluent management, maintenance, farm tidiness including weed spraying.   Be a team player Be skilled in operating tractors and machinery Ideally have had dairy industry experience. We are willing to teach if had other previous agricultural and farm animal handling experience Current full drivers license MUST be resident in New Zealand Be responsible and honest with a willingness to learn Must be willing to pat our friendly cows 

Farm Assistant We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Assistant to join and complete our farm team starting 15/09 Our farm is located just 15 minutes from Ashburton and milks 860 cows through a 50-bail rotary shed equipped with ACRs and Protrack. The farm is irrigated using centre pivots and one Rotorainer. This position offers a comfortable 2–3 bedroom home and operates on a 6 days on, 2 days off roster year-round. We maintain a strict drug and alcohol-free workplace and expect all team members to uphold these standards. At least one year experience in NZ dairy farms.
