We are looking for an experienced calf rearer for split calving herd in Central Hawkes Bay.  This could be either a full time calf rearing/general farm assistant or part-time position. A three bedroomed house is available on farm.

We are seeking an experienced farm manager to join our team. Our current manager is heading overseas so we are starting our search now. The farm is local to Gore. The farm milks 800 cows through a rotary shed, we run a 5 on 2 off roster. 3 other full timers on farm plus seasonal calf rearer.  We are looking for someone that is motivated, reliable, good communication and can be a good role model to the team.   Previous farm management experience a must.  The role will include making pasture management decisions, management of the cowshed, managing the other staffs day to day, delegating jobs etc working with farm supervisor. About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm assistant to join our 220ha dairy farm in Whataroa, milking 400 cows through a 25-a-side herringbone shed. The farm uses halter collars and a variable milking regime. You’ll work closely with the farm manager and a small team (2 full-time staff + a calf rearer), with a roster of 11 days on, 3 days off. We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager (2IC) or good farm assistant that can soon step up to 2IC, to join our team on Mount Bee Dairies, located in Northern Southland 40–60 minutes from Te Anau, Gore, Invercargill, and Queenstown. With the possibility of taking over Management in 1 or 2 years for the right person.  We milk 630 cows through a 54-bale rotary with ACRs, auto teat spray, in-shed feeding. Our farm is 226 hectares of effective area. We winter cows on fodder beet and swedes ourselves on our additional Run off block of 55Ha, raise young stock on the farm until they reach 100kg before they go grazing.
