Experienced Couple - flexible fixed term or permanent

After 2 solid seasons our awesome 2IC was offered his next career step which has open an opportunity on our K Road Farm, but his late notice has left us with a gap to fill.

K Road farm has an experienced and competent Farm Manager and a young and enthusiastic team, we are just missing an amazing 2IC / Herd Manager to help them out.

We are flexible with how this role is structured, so happy to look at fixed term if you are wanting to keep your options open for next season.......

About the farm:

K Road farm is located on the stunning shores of Lake Taupo’s western bays approx. 20 min from Turangi. Milking 1250 cows, it runs a low input, fully self-contained system with a focus on pasture and plantain. This farm is well set up, with an easy flat contour.

Excellent primary schooling is available locally with the school bus stopping at the farm gate. A three-bedroom family home with extensive views is available to the successful candidate.

This role will also appeal to those who have interests away from the farm in hunting, fishing, skiing and a host of other outdoor pursuits.

What we need from you:

• At least 2-3 years of proven on farm experience preferably at scale
• Proven communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Be physically fit
• Able to provide an updated CV with verifiable referees
