Our operation involves milking 690 cows using a 40-aside herringbone shed, supported by robust systems and a dedicated support team. There is potential for this position to evolve into an ongoing relief milking contract for the remainder of the season. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to provide strong references. The ability to ride a two-wheel motorbike is required, and prior experience operating a tractor and silage wagon would be advantageous. Accommodation is available in a portacom, which includes a heat pump, fridge, television, and some kitchen utensils.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable person to join us and our 2IC milking 500 quiet crossbred cows through an older but efficient 32 bale rotary shed located mid-way between Whitianga and Coromandel towns. This is a fixed term role for the lactation only July to April. We are having to re-advertise due to previously successful candidate changing their mind about taking the role on. This has traditionally been a 2 person farm utilizing calf rearers and relief milkers but we are transitioning to a model that will largely use 3 full-time labour units to achieve seasonal outcomes instead. We are looking for a full time Calf Rearer  on our 510 cow dairy farm 5 mins out of Culverden. Calf rearing experience is a preference but not a must (training can be provided). Roster is 6 and 2, and the majority of the season you will be the sole person rearing the calves so you must be happy working on your own, have a good work ethic and be able to show initiative.  This is a full time role over calving, while relief milking work is available once the busy calving period is over. We are in a position to hire another member of staff for this season. We are open to all experience levels, but applicants must be residing in NZ.  We are Lower order sharemilkers milking 950 cows in Bainham golden bay. We milk 2 herds 5am and 1 herd 2pm daily through a 50 bail rotary shed with ACR.  Technology on farm - Halter, masti test, auto draft - training provided we pride ourselves in running a positive, supportive work environment with solid routines achieving good results.

We are looking for an experienced calf rearer to join our team and help raise 300 replacements and possibly help with 150 beef calves. This contract can go out from July to December if wanted and discuss relief milk options also. We are 10mins south of hinds, 20 mins from Ashburton and 20 mins from Geraldine The candidate will have experience calf rearing, a good attitude, reliable and the ability to work efficiently unsupervised. We like having an efficient system that produces quality calves and good team culture. Having experience and ability to identify and manage sick calves is important. We require a calf rearer for the spring.  Ideally the applicant will be reliable, strong and able to work in all weathers.  The position could work around school hours, or twice a day, but is seven days a week, for a minimum of eight weeks, to get us through the busy period.   If interested relief milking could also be available over the entire season.   No experience required as full training will be provided.   You must be currently living in New Zealand and eligible to work in New Zealand to apply for this job.
