This is a Drive In position only! There is NO on-farm accommodation available. Only applicants with a suitable drivers license and have their own reliable transport will be considered We are seeking a reliable and friendly calf rearer with a minimum of 1 years experience calf rearing (although a great attitude and a willingness to learn will also be sufficient) from Mid July - Mid November, with additional weekend milking's available through out the season.  A Decent hourly rate plus fuel allowance will be provided to the successful candidate. A minimum of 25hrs/week guaranteed. Start and finish times can be negotiated with in reason for the right candidate e,g to fit around school run/child care/off farm commitments. Must have a good attitude, an eye for animal health, patience, good hygiene and be punctual. Must be physically fit to be able to lift calves up for feeding when required and lift 20kg calf meal bags.  Must be able to provide at least 1 solid work reference.

We have an opportunity for a casual staff member to help us on our two farms over the calving and mating period (July-Dec). We have two dairy farms both running 300 cows located 10mins North of Morrinsville. The role will mainly involve milking and some small duties either side of milking like collecting cows or cleaning up. The hours will be roughly 20-30hrs per week and are to help during the days staff are rostered off, you will most likely be working directly with the farm owner. I am looking for a drive in calf rearer to rear approx 130-140 calves in Eureka, near Morrinsille and Hamilton. Must be experienced and have an eye for detail. There will be bobby calves to feed as well. Have a milk trailer setup with a pump and hose. There will be relief milking available later in the season if wanted also. We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to work on a 440-cow farm in Huntly west, milking through a 34cups HB shed. While previous experience is preferred, it is not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows setting fences operating farm machinery and other general farm duties.
