We are looking for a dedicated Farm assistant/Herd Manager. Close to town. we have 560 cows on 212ha, milking through a 40aside herringbone cowshed located close to Tokoroa. We are all a hardworking team who are fully aware of their roles & responsibilities on a daily basis. Key tasks and responsibilities: Milking cows, setting up break fences, identifying and treating mastitis, tractor driving - ability to feed out, calving cows - feeding calves - identify cows in heat - H&S compliance - Recording of animal health details - general farm maintenance. Roster is 8 on 2 off.no negotiation You will be drug tested You must have a clean criminal record No pets 3 bedroom house will be provided Driving license Please apply with CV and two farming referees

Grasslands operate dairy farms approximately 20 minutes drive from the Tokoroa township. The farms comprise of 1000 cows and we have a  casual relief milking position to cover staff leave etc. The farms have large modern milking facilities with 80 bail rotary platforms and are well equipped for the number of cows milked in them.

WE ARE NOT ACCREDITED, NZ residents only apply! MUST BE DRUG FREE 2 bed farm cottage avail, NOT suited for pets sorry.  Farm is situated 5 min from Tokoroa Township.  Applicants with a partner who's available and experienced with relief milking will be an advantage as there will be plenty of milking's available.  We are a husband and wife team, shed requires 2 people and we will be running 2 herds most of the season.   shed is a 30ASHB with ACR's and in shed feeding. Farm is mainly flat with some steeper paddocks by cowshed.  Roster can be discussed, and can be very flexible, we are thinking 7 on 3 off. work load is not massive and salary will reflect that. Weekend work is only Essential jobs.   duties will include, but not limited to- *Milking twice a day. 6am / 2:30pm.  *break fences *feeding out in paddocks ( Mostly flat )  *Shifting traveling irrigator Must be confident on 2 wheeler, and capable of working alone when required so experience is a MUST.
