 BLACKFORD FARMING -RED SHED. Due to a staff member moving overseas , an exciting opportunity has become available on our dairy farm, milking 1035 cows through a 60 bale fully automated rotary shed. Our non irrigated farm has modern facilities, machinery and equipment. We have a wintering barn to house 270 cows  , Halter collars and automatic calf feeders.  The successful candidate will join our vibrant team of 5 full time staff and work on a 6 on 2 off roster. 2 years Previous experience on a NZ dairy farm is essential, You must have a can do attitude and you must be honest and reliable , work well in a team but also work well alone and be a good communicator. We are a drug free and smoke free workplace. Drug testing may be required. A full NZ driving licence is required. We are situated 10 minutes from Methven between Mount Hutt and the Rakaia Gorge. 1 hour to Christchurch and 35 minutes to Ashburton. Our local service town Methven, boasts pubs, multiple cafe's, 2 supermarkets...

Permanent - Full Time   Our beautiful 160Ha farm is located on flat land and just a 5 mins drive to Methven town centre, where there are excellent schools, cafes and supermarkets etc and with Mt Hutt right on our doorstep if you enjoy winter sports.   Milking our beautiful 630 cows through a 60-bail rotary with ACR and auto drafting, we will expect you to have strong production experience and you must also be at the top of your game when it comes to shed hygiene and animal health and wellbeing, as well as being a capable tractor driver, so a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience here in NZ is essential.   Offering a good healthy work life balance, we work on a 6/2 roster all year round and we have a lovely modern 2-bedroom home located on farm, we are offering a salary of between $30 to $35 per hour including $250 per week for accommodation.    We offer a minimum of 30 hours per week.   In return we will expect you to be able to hit the ground the running...
