We are seeking a 2IC to join our team in Gordonton. You must be experienced in all aspects of dairy farming and have the capability of managing the farm and the team when the manager is absent, and be an active participation in managing the farm as part of the greater management team. The farm is 307ha milking platform, flat contour, with a 50 bale rotary with no ACR. We are a system 3 farm. The team consists of 5 full time on-farm staff, the manager, and a dedicated calf rearer.  2 runoffs, both 5 mins away, supplement the dairy platform and graze the young stock. ***MUST be living in NZ and have appropriate Visa to work in NZ as we are not accredited employers*** We are looking for a farm assistant to join our team on a 1100 cow, 353 ha farm in Gordonton, 10 minutes from Hamilton City. Our ideal person would have some dairy farming experience, but full training will be given, a can-do attitude, self-management, good communication skills and enjoy being part of a team.   You will be part of a team of 5 full timers. Role includes: Milking, farm maintenance, stock work, mastitis management, effluent management and temporary fences. 8/2 8/3 roster. 50 bale rotary with in-shed feeding and Protrack.   Salary negotiable on experience.
