The ideal candidate would have experience working on a New Zealand dairy farm, but any required training will be given to the right person. We are seeking an experienced farm worker (12+ months) to join our team as Assistant Herd Manager on an 1,800-cow farm in the Ashburton area, operating a two 50 Bail Rotary milking shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking and monitoring milk quality, stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), fencing, weed control, calving, calf rearing, shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 44.
