Being physically fit is an advantage, at times with being able to lift a large calf. This position includes ensuring every calf receives sufficient colostrum, and being taught to feed on a calf feeder. We are currently looking for a Dairy assistant to help July-August. The candidate will need a current work visa. The ideal candidate would have experience working on a New Zealand dairy farm, but any required training will be given to the right person. The job will include helping with calf rearing, milking in a rotary shed, moving fences, spraying weeds and other general duties. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude to join our team. Our farm is located at Dorie, Mid Canterbury. The farm is 750ha (total) milking 2600 cows through two rotary sheds. We run on a 7-2-7-2-7-3 roster.
