We are seeking an enthusiastic person as soon as possible, with a minimum of 2 seasons NZ dairy farming experience. You will be required to assist with all aspects of  day to day dairy farming. This position is available to NZ citizens / residents with a valid NZ work visa, we are NOT accredited employers. We spring Calve 750 cows milked twice daily through a 60 Bale Rotary cowshed. Milking - Manage efficient and hygienic milking routine.  Follow procedure to produce high quality milk. We require a senior farm assistant to assist with the day to day running of our 930 cow Spring calving dairy farm 12 minutes out of Bulls Manawatu. We have a great team and we are looking for the right person who will fit in as team culture is really important to us. The successful applicant must be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated and positive. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skill, a minimum of 1 year dairy farming experience.  Duties and responsibilities include: milking, animal health, feeding out, calving, mating and general farm maintenance.  The applicants must be willing to undergo a drug test. Animals • Implement animal health program to maintain good health. • Assist with calving and the calf rearing program to achieve minimal losses and ensure high quality replacements are available for the herd. • Assist to manage repairs and maintenance schedule for all plant, machinery and infrastructure. • Ensure all relevant company policies are understood and adhered to.
