Seeking a fulltime Herd Manager / Farm Assistant.
Kopua farm is central to Te Awamutu, Otorohanga, and Pirongia.
Situated on a no exit road with minimal traffic.
This role would suit someone who has dairy farming experience and can bring a steady, positive presence to complement our young energetic team.
The successful applicant will have complete support from the farm manager and owners to help them be successful in the role and progress further within the diary industry. This position will provide opportunity to progress as the business owners own and operate several farms in the Waikato and King Country.
Accommodation provided in the form of a cozy 3 bedroom home with small office/4th room, wood burning fireplace , heat pump and brand new kitchen.
Kopua Farm is 280ha of mainly flat land which is a pastoral based system 2 dairy unit,
Calving 940 cows.
Milking through a 50 bale herringbone shed.
Milking once a day for young stock early and the whole heard through the summer months.
Roster of 11 on 3 off.
Calf rearing and relief milkings available for partners if this suited.
