Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. Looking for a drive in farm assistant. Role will run through until early January. We're based 9 minutes north of Otorohanga. Farms flat contour milking 340 cows through a 24ashb with inshed feeding. Main duties will be but not limited too assisting in milking, calf collection from paddock, break fencing and tractor work like feeding out. We do bales, grass silage and maize silage depending on the time of year. Really just wanting someone who is reliable with reliable transportation. I'll be happy to teach the rest.
