Due to being let down we find ourselves looking for another team member to join our crew.  Our preference would be someone to full the Farm Managers role that is currently vacant to join our team for the upcoming Dairy Season. The Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the shed and running of our 600 cow farm. The farm is located half way between Ashburton and Geraldine, it is fully spray irrigated with a 40 ASHB Shed with in-shed feeding and Protrak. We are looking for someone that has an eye for detail and can embrace technology as we have Halter on the milking platform and winter grazing block. A 60 Bail rotary shed with protrack automation and drafting system, Allflex collars and a feed pad. All cows/R2 are wintered in an adjacent block on beet, Kale and Grass with adlib straw. We rear 230 replacement heifers. We are looking for someone with some farming experience and who wishes to grow in the industry. you will be well supported in the role. the position requires a can-do attitude, good animal health practice, able to communicate well, be confident on all farm machinery.
