CNR Farming has an exciting opportunity for a Farm Manager to join our team due to a team member heading north.The farm peak milks 800 cows through a 54 bail rotary on 240ha platform, fully irrigated by pivots, some fixed grid and a small area of sprinklers. We have been using Halter to assist with Farm management, as well as ACR's, and automatic drafting. We target production of 500+ per cow and are a system 4 with a real focus on maximizing pasture harvested. The successful applicant will be willing and able to use this technology to its full advantages. Managing and doing a variety of task in this role- Exceptional animal husbandry - Mating, calving identification, assistance, lameness, mastitis, milk fever, Pasture Management Staff Management ,Health and Safety ,Shed cleanliness and maintenance Fencing - general Understanding of irrigation and maintenance, ensuring health records are kept up to date. We operate a fully self contained system, with owners doing majority of cultivation. Young stock grazed off farm. Wintering of herd on farm. The successful applicant will be expected to work in closely with the farm owners to achieve goals. We aim to work as a team and everyone getting to know all aspects of the farm, so good communication is a must. Remuneration will be aligned with performance, this role is for an experienced manager or for 2IC with all these skills wanting to take the next step into management.
