Due to being let down we find ourselves looking for another team member to join our crew. Our preference would be someone to full the Farm Managers role that is currently vacant to join our team for the upcoming Dairy Season. The Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the shed and running of our 600 cow farm. The farm is located half way between Ashburton and Geraldine, it is fully spray irrigated with a 40 ASHB Shed with in-shed feeding and Protrak. We are looking for someone that has an eye for detail and can embrace technology as we have Halter on the milking platform and winter grazing block.
It is important to have excellent communication skills and be able to lead the team confidently while being an active team member, as you will be responsible for the day to day running of the shed and farm. It is important that you are able to keep all records for the farming operation up to date and accurate.
Someone with Management experience would be preferred, but his could be the ideal role for the right person to progress in the dairy industry if you have the right attitude and skill base. Must have a minimum of three years dairy farming experience in New Zealand and be NZ Citizen as we are not an accredited employer for work visas.
