Situated just eight minutes from central Methven and only one kilometre from the Mt Hutt access road, we are looking for a staff member to join our team for a period of three to four months beginning in mid-July. Our operation involves milking 690 cows using a 40-aside herringbone shed, supported by robust systems and a dedicated support team. There is potential for this position to evolve into an ongoing relief milking contract for the remainder of the season. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to provide strong references. The ability to ride a two-wheel motorbike is required, and prior experience operating a tractor and silage wagon would be advantageous. Accommodation is available in a portacom, which includes a heat pump, fridge, television, and some kitchen utensils.

We are looking for a motivated energetic person to join our team. Ideally this person would have some experience in the daily farm tasks and experience milking in a herringbone shed. We milk 750 cows in two herds through a 40 aside shed on a 174ha milking platform with attached 118ha support block for silage, wintering, r1 and r2 heifers. Duties will include but not limited to, milking, break feeding, weed control, fence and farm maintenance, calf rearing and young stock care. We are requiring a new person to join our team for the 26/27 season.  This position could be good for someone who is a farm assistant looking to move to a herd manager position. We are looking for a motivated, honest and reliable dairy assistant to join our team. We milk twice a day 970 cows through a 60 bale automated rotary. Your duties will include setting up the shed and bringing cows in for milking, assisting with milking, identifying cows for health problems, setting up and moving break fences and other farm jobs.
