The knowledge, experience and farming qualifications to manage the day-to-day running of an efficient  and well-managed dairy farm operation.   Have at least 4 years' experience in dairy farming, be reliable, have a positive attitude, be tidy and clean in the workplace and, most of all, have great communication skills. You will be managing two herds on a system 4 spring-calving dairy farm, with clear instructions from the farm owner.  Milking 500 cows through a 30 a/s herringbone shed with automatic cup removers and teat sprayer.  We have in-shed feeding and also fed on a feed pad nine months of the year, so must capable of operating a tractor. There is an automatic drafting system, and the cows are fitted with Allflex collars. Able to understand and take responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding.
