Dairy Farm Assistant Manager (2IC)
Location: Ngatea.
we are looking for a top operator (or aspiring to be) Assistant Manager to help us keep our dairy operations running as smooth as fresh cream!
The farm is 130ha and we milk through a 50 bale rotary, system 4.
480 cows.
What You’ll Do: Support the team in daily operations—think herd care, milking routines, and equipment upkeep. Lead, train, and inspire a fantastic team of farm workers. Keep an eye on herd health, nutrition, and comfort—happy cows, happy farm! Dive into data—track production, feed, and efficiency, and help us keep improving.
Work with the team to ensure we’re meeting sustainability goals—because we care about our cows, staff and the planet!
Who You Are: You’ve got some farm experience (bonus if you know your way around a milking shed!).
You’re a natural leader who thrives on teamwork and communication. You’re organized, adaptable, and excited to get your hands dirty. You’ve got a curious mind—whether it’s new tech, better feed, or just how to keep things running like a dream.
