Assistant Farm Manager wanted to help run the daily operation of a 750 cow farm near Balfour, Southland. 310 hectare effective. A 60 bail rotary dairy shed for milking with in-shed feeding, auto drafting, auto cup remover with cow collar to aid with health monitoring and mating.  To be considered for the role you must have a strong background on all aspect of day to day running of the operation and a solid work ethics. You will be expected to lead a team of junior staff, monitor pasture and animal health with the basic farm and machinery maintenance and know how.  In return a competitive renumeration package with a 3 bedroom house with heat pump, good working gear and machinery is on offer.

A 44 aside herringbone shed for milking with in-shed feeding, auto drafting, with cow collar to aid with health monitoring and mating.  To be considered for the role you must have herringbone cowshed experience and a strong background on all aspect of day to day running of the operation and a solid work ethics. You will be expected to lead a team of junior staff, monitor pasture and animal health with the basic farm and machinery maintenance and know how.  In return a competitive renumeration package with a 3 bedroom house with heat pump.

Due to a change in circumstances we are looking for 2x team members from the beginning of September to join our team full time. We milk 750 cows through a modern 54 bail rotary that is centrally located. Our roster is 6 days on 1 day off over calving with the remaining season 6 days on 2 days off. Accommodation available is: 1x large 4 bedroom house with a heatpump & gas hot water 1x small 2 bedroom cottage with a heatpump We are not accredited employers so you must have the legal right to work in NZ. Experience is required.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to join our team.  This is a leadership role and you will be required  to help manage a small team of people  so great people skills and communication are very important! Must have positive attitude.  We hold high expectations for presentation, shed hygiene, animal welfare and targets such as SCC and production. You will need to be able to uphold these expectations and help implement and encourage this within the rest of the team. We winter the cows on farm in the barn so suitable candidate must be confident and have good knowledge of tractor, mixture wagon and other machinery. A drive in position has become available on our farm. 25 min east of invercargill in Gorge Road  This role can be tailored for anyone with dairy experience.  3 full time staff including you plus sharemilker and sharemilker's wife. A modern cowshed  Modern machinery  We are a high performance unit which rewards all staff based on their performance. No on farm accommodation but will contribute to travel and off farm accommodation.

500 cow farm in Mandeville southland  We require a 2ic to assist us with the daily operation of our farm 15 mins from Gore in southland  we are not accredited  do not apply if you are not in New Zealand 

We are looking for an experienced 2IC to join us for the remainder of the 2026/2027 season. Our farm is located in Northern Southland - milking 1000 cows through a 50 bail rotary with Afimilk collars, Protrack drafting and automatic cup removers. You will be working with the sharemilkers and other staff members. Key duties will be milking, ensuring milk quality and shed hygiene is maintained to a high standard and assisting with feeding of stock as advised by sharemilker. You must be able to assist with all calving and mating requirements, be able to record information accurately and have good knowledge of animal health and welfare. You must be able to communicate effectively within a team, comply with all health and safety policies and take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy dairy platform. You must also be able to drive a tractor and be confident using implements.  There is a warm 3 bedroom house with a fire available.  Relief work will be available for a partner also....

Looking for a competent manager/2ic to help run a 950 cow dairy unit based in riverton for the season, due to health issues of a previous staff member who had to unfourtuantly leave.  We run a 6n2 roster all season.  Big 5 bedroom newer home.  The candidate will be responsible for assisting myself with full farm managment Must be competent in all animal health Able to drive tractors for feeding out and mowing.  Good pasture managment. Due to our current 2IC being unable to return to work for reasons beyond his control, we are looking for a new 2IC or a Farm Assistant willing to be trained into becoming a 2IC to join our small farm approx. 20 minutes from Gore. We milk 400 Friesian cows through a 40ASHB with ACR's, in-shed feeding and an auto draft gate.  Farm is family owned with the other farm being 5 minutes down the road, we try to work in together when needed. Our farm is run by the contract milkers (Husband and wife both on farm), and we employ one full time staff member. We will also have a relief milker this season. Calves are reared by contract milkers.  Work is mainly picking up calves, identifying and drafting out calved cows and springers, milking, getting cows in, putting up break fences, basic fencing, finding/treating animal health issues, shifting effluent pods, feeding out, mowing, pasture walks etc. You will be required to do other tasks as they arise such as shed maintenance, shifting stock...
