This is a full-time, permanent role on an 5 on, 2 off, 6 on 1 off roster. We are on the Hunt for a farm manager on our farm 10 minutes to whangarei We run 3 farms all close to whangarei 1500 cows in total so plenty of progression for the right person. There is a 3 bedroom house available. We use a consultant and provide plenty of support. Allflex collars auto drafting system 3 with maize and pke using a mixer wagon.

We are looking for a Assistant manager who can confidently run one of the 2 dairy sheds of the farm. The farm is located 15 minutes from gore and 5 minutes from Riversdale. The farm has 430ha all flat and has 2 sheds, A 50 and 54 bale rotary both are ACR and have PROTRACT drafting gate. Each shed will have 1 2IC, 1 herd manager and 1 assistant herd manager( reliever). the farm will calved 1200 cows this season and will get split evenly on both sheds after calving. We’re looking for someone who: ● Can preferably operate a tractor / skid steer and other machinery ● Is physically fit and comfortable with manual labour ● Has a strong understanding of health and safety and can follow safe work procedures ● Is reliable, practical and has a good work ethic ● Can work well as part of a team ● Holds a current driver licence ● Can pass a pre-employment drug test Experience with farming, machinery or similar physical work would be an advantage, but reliability, safety and a willingness to get stuck in are most important. You will work a 8on 2 off  then 8 on 3 off roster. There is a good 3 bedroom house avalible  with good  schools close . You have to competent  with tractors as well as 2  and 4 wheeler  motorbikes  and be able to manage staff when the manager is away . Detection mastitis as well as lame cows  .
