We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hard working 2IC / General Farm Hand to join our team of three on a permanent, full-time basis.
Bresa Farms operates a 160 ha effective Dairy farm milking 400 cows. We split calve 50/50 in Autumn and Spring. We are looking for an experienced person to assist with:
Livestock Management - daily milking, animal health monitoring, identifying on heat cows, maintaining a clean, compliant dairy shed.
Farm Maintenance - Undertaking general farm upkeep, fence repairs, weed control, water/ trough repairs.
Machinery operation - Safe operation of farm vehicles including tractors and quads. The farm comprises some steep terrain therefore only experienced tractor operators will be considered for this position.
What we are looking for:
Experience: Previous experience in an agricultural role is required. Due to the steep nature of the terrain we require someone with previous tractor experience. This role will require some feeding out using a bale feeder and silage wagon.
Skills: Competency driving farm vehicles including tractors and quads safely.
Attributes: Reliable, physically fit, punctual and capable of working a structured roster. We typically operate on a 12 on 2 off roster.
Requirements: A valid drivers license is required. Must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
