Farm Assistant role, duties include assisting our full time team of six, including all aspects of a self-contained dairy farm at Omakau, Central Otago, milking 1000 cows, wintering on, and running young stock.
This is a flat, mainly pivot irrigated farm, 54 rotary bale shed with ACR's, Afi cow collars, easy farm layout and a handy location in Central Otago. Triple work roster 7-2, 7-2, 7-3
This position will reward a person with a team approach, pride in their work, a great learning attitude, attention to detail and with motivation to succeed in the dairy industry.
Previous experience handling livestock preferred but dairy shed management and milking training will be given.
The applicant must be currently living in NZ and be legal to work in NZ with a current driving license.
