We are looking for a dairy farm assistant for our dairy farm located in the waitaki valley, 10 minutes to Kurow and Duntroon, located 45 minutes from Oamaru.
The farm milks 400 cows through a 54 bail rotary with in shed feeding and ACRs, irrigated via pivots, fixed grid and k-line.
Day to day tasks and responsibilities include
You'll need to be physically fit and able to ride 2 wheel motorbikes
Roster is 6 and 2. May be subject to change. During calving roster may change and may include weekend work.
Tractor experience would be advantageous along with some experience operating 2 and 4 wheelers on hills.
4 bedroom family home available.
Minimum experience of 1 year of NZ dairy farming required.
